Design for the City of Norwalk

Below are selected projects overseen from conceptualization to print/digital production. The success of each project focused solely on the City’s strategic goals while producing engaging creative for 100,000+ Norwalk residents.

Shining light on a few
design projects ✨

Within my first year as a Communications Specialist, a few big projects showcased new ideas through modern design. These projects include print materials, branding, and pull-up banners.

The City’s monthly newsletter is designed in-house and delivered to 22,000 Norwalk residents. All 4 pages highlight the City's multiple events, upcoming holiday closures, along with public safety tips.

The layout is created in InDesign with creative assets designed in either Illustrator or Photoshop.

Norwalk Now

Every quarter, the City’s economic development projects and investment activities are highlighted.

As the Creative Director, I decided to go with an infographic-style layout; creating an interactive experience with the map and images. The style helps to differentiate itself from the Norwalk Now.

Norwalk’s Future

With Veteran’s Day around the corner, banners were needed to pay tribute to all military branches. The fabric banners had to be designed, printed by the vendor, and displayed in under two weeks.

Alongside the fabric pull-up banners, a paper banner had to be created for the dais in the Council Chambers. This was printed in-house!

When I am not behind my computer, you will find me taking pics and counting down: 3,2,1, shutter! As the City’s main photographer, below are a few candid shots taken at various events: ribbon cuttings, public events, and school assemblies.

State of the City: Event Branding

About the event: Every October, the City of Norwalk hosts State of the City which recognizes and highlights key projects and successes ranging from public safety, community programs, and community development.

The main goal behind this project was to conceptualize, design, and implement event branding. The creative package included the main logo (stacked), a logotype, 5.5x8.5 in. printed programs, a PPT title slide, and 24x36 in. easels.
